Mastering Black & White
From the earliest photographs, to Henri Cartier Bresson's decisive moments, Robert Capa's grainy pictures of the Normandy landings, Robert Doisneau's Parisian kiss, to Ansel Adams' Yosemite photographs, we have been captivated by black and white. Even with the onset of Kodachrome and today's incredible colour sensors, black and white not only refuses to go away but is as popular as ever.
In this workshop, Michael Eleftheriades will be exploring what makes a successful b&w photograph, when to shoot in monochrome, and will be demonstrating the different ways to successfully convert your colour images using Photoshop and Lightroom. Finally, we will look at best printing practice for maximum impact of your images.
Attendees of all skill levels are welcome but please note that basic knowledge of Photoshop or Lightroom would be beneficial. Slide notes will be sent to all attendees before the event. The event will end with a prize draw to win great prizes.
The seminar is held in central London, at The Georgian Group, 6 Fitzroy Square, London W1T 5DX from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm. The cost of the day is £255 with a special price of £195 for Nikon Owner subscribers, or £135 for Nikon Owner Gold subscribers. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be available in the morning and afternoon.
